Performing together since 2001, The Soenen Sisters are a talented ensemble of harp, cello, flute, and vocals, bringing stellar performances to the concert stage as well as more private and personal venues. Located in Southern Ontario, they have performed together extensively, performing both public concerts and private functions in many venues throughout the GTA, as well as Niagara region, Hamilton, Kitchener, Simcoe, Lynedoch, Guelph and more.


Their repertoire is broad - ranging from popular, classical, baroque and romantic, pop, broadway, jazz and celtic. With experience in traditional concert hall settings and informal dinner events, together with wedding performances and much more, the Soenen Sisters are sure to delight audiences of any kind with their beautiful and heart-warming music.

 Meet The Soenen Sisters

Charlene Soenen-Westerveld - flute and vocals -

Charlene is a flautist and vocalist and has been playing and performing for over twenty years. She has a BA in music - vocal performance and flute - from Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario. Besides keeping up a busy performing schedule, Charlene also teaches piano and flute out of her home in Brantford Ontario, and homeschools her 3 kids.


Lisa Soenen - VanHartingsveldt - harp and piano -

Lisa is an award winning harpist with a flare for creativity and a passion for musical excellence. . She has a BA in music - harp performance from Redeemer University - and is a very active performer. When she’s not out performing, she’s busy at her home in Paris, Ontario with her 4 beautiful kids. Soli deo gloria!


Julie Soenen-Borgdorff - cello, vocals, and piano -

Julie is a cellist, pianist and vocalist, as well as a composer - and has written a number of solo piano works. She has a degree from Redeemer University majoring in cello and vocal performance. She is a busy teacher of cello and piano in the Brantford, Ontario area, as well as a mom to 3 beautiful girls. She keeps very busy with multiple performances a month.


Rose Soenen - harp and vocals -

A professional harpist based in the Brantford, Ontario area, Rose Soenen holds a Bachelors of Music in Orchestral Harp Performance from Wilfred Laurier University as well as her Masters of Instrumental Performance from the University of Toronto. She maintains a busy schedule of performing and teaching.
